Oct 17 - Wyoming

Decided not to go to Yellowstone (even though it was still open) as there had been a few road closures and a lot of the places where shut in preparation for Winter. Thought if it's time for the locals to get out then I didnt want to risk getting caught in bad weather. You can see a webcam of Old Faithful here

Drove through the North East corner of Wyoming and stayed at a quaint place in Buffalo. Yes, that is what you think it is. Every second store offers a place to process your kill. This hotel was a popular place for hunters.  They werent there when I drove in. I felt out of place in a car instead of a truck.

Set up in front of the pool for skinning the animals

Oct 15-16 Montana - Big Sky

Driving along the I-90 through Montana is spectacular and understandable why they call it big sky.  It was like looking at HD TV, so clear and crisp. The photos/video dont do the views any justice.

The original RV

Wonder where this plane is headed? There where about 6 on this very long train.
Maybe more planes to live in?

Oct 14 - Washington State

Brewing storm

Love this sign.

This is a great idea. They attach the streamers to the fence to attract your attention so you can see the sign telling you what is being grown in the field.

Art shot taken in drivers rear view mirror

Spokane - The Biggest Red Wagon - so cute

This building looks out of place

"Modern" huge car park in center of town., I think it was from Expo 74

Oct 14 - Microsoft

How could I not visit Microsoft in Redmond on my wat out of Seattle. These shuttles are all over the campus driving people from one building to another.

This is the new HD Zune. It is fabulous and I want one! Who said Microsoft couldnt design something cool!

Oct 11-13 Seattle, WA

The weather was very overcast and much too cold to be outside doing sightseeing outside

so took advantage of the Comcast in the hotel and watched the entire Season 6 of Entourage on On Demand. I have never seen Comcast On Demand available in a hotel before. What a good idea!!!!

Got to play lots of board games while in Seattle details here

Inukshuk

I love these things. They are also being used as the symbol for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver

Victoria, BC Canada

Took a Bus/Ferry tour over to Victoria on Vancouver Island. There were 14 people on the bus, 5 Aussies!!! 6 Canadians, 2 Americans and 1 from Barbados. Vistied the Butchart Gardens and the capitol of BC, Victoria.

Love how they disguise the trash cans with a garden on top

Captain Cook was here

"After two historic Voyages to the South Pacific Cook was cruising the waters of the Pacific Northwest on his third and final voyage. With his two ships, Respolution and Discovery he was searching for the western exit to the legendary Northwest Passage. In March, 1778, they put into Nootka Sound for repairs and to trade with the native people. With him on the voyage were Mr William Bligh as Master of the Resolution and Midshipman George Vancouver."
